On this day we are going to discover two historically important places and visit one of the most popular mineral resorts in Georgia.

First, we are going to visit Vardzia that is the 12th century cave city. The complex was abandoned after the Ottoman takeover in 16th century and now it has been submitted for future inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

After sightseeing in Vardzia, we are going to visit the Rabati Castle, located in Akhaltsikhe. The Castle was built in the 9th century. In 13th-14th centuries it was the capital city of Samtskhe-Saatabago, later it was attacked by the armies of Tamerlane. In 1590 Samtskhe-Saatabago came under the rule of Ottoman Empire. Most of the surviving buildings date from the 17th and 18th centuries. Now, it is one of the most attracted places by tourists.

Our last destination will be Borjomi which is widely famous as a mineral resort. The water in Borjomi has a healing power. Here we are going to visit Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, which is covering about 85, 000 hectares of forest and alpine meadows.

By the end of the day we are going to leave Borjomi back to Tbilisi.
